The Scriptures are full of questions, cries, and longings. The themes for each Sunday will be:

Jan 5th: Unable to go back the way we came!

 

What is Advent?

Four Sundays before Christmas, the church observes a time of waiting.  Advent means coming and so we wait for the one who is coming, who is Jesus Christ,

Be sure to mark your calendar for December 15th at 6pm!

Come to our sanctuary where we’ll reflect on  what Jesus’ birth means for us today. We’ll have readings, special songs, and of course our retelling of the Christmas story by our Children’s Department. We’ll close the program with singing Silent Night by candlelight and then move over to our Fellowship Hall for a fingerfood fellowship!

Between Christ The King Sunday (the end of our church calendar) and Advent 1 Sunday (the beginning of our church calendar), we will spend a sunday back at the beginning. We will hear from Glen Rhodes and Kim Kauffman about how deeply  the Creation story is woven into our daily lives. Service will begin at the regular time 10:30am, preceded by Christian Education hour at 9:30am.

On November 17th, we will have a look back at the past year at AMC and all God has been doing in us and through us as we celebrate Christ The King Sunday. This is the last Sunday in our church calendar. Plan to join us and stay tuned for more details!
