On March 6, 2010 the SS AMC set sail for the 1950's. The foyer and fellowship hall were transformed into a cruise ship and first class cruise dining was provided. After a catered meal, passengers were entertained by a variety of special guests including, Aretha Franklin, Chubby Checker, Ed Sullivan, the Chordettes, Elvis (two impersonators and the real deal), and Gracie Allen and George Burns doing their usual banter. Dave Ramsey was on hand to provide some sound financial advice throughout the evening and two passengers recited an entertaining essay about surviving the 1950's. Some passengers were invited to participate in a 1950's version of the Price is Right Game complete with decade appropriate products and prices. Great fun was certainly had by all that were able to attend this bi-annual event.
